When a store has views but few sales, the listing is usually the problem. These are the five issues we fix most often.
1. A weak first image
Your main image is your ad. It should be clean, well lit and instantly show what the product is. Cluttered backgrounds and tiny products lose clicks before the buyer reads a word.
2. Titles written for algorithms only
Keywords matter, but a title that reads like a keyword dump hurts trust. Lead with the most important search term, then add the key benefit or specification a buyer cares about.
3. No answer to "why this one?"
Buyers compare. If your listing does not make clear what makes yours different — materials, size, warranty, speed of shipping — they will choose whoever does.
4. Thin or copy-pasted descriptions
Use short paragraphs and bullet points. Cover what it is, who it is for, what is included and how it solves a problem. Avoid supplier text that dozens of other sellers also use.
5. Ignoring the basics of trust
- Clear shipping and returns information
- Honest, specific photos (including scale)
- Responding quickly to questions
How to use this list
Pick one listing, fix these five things, then compare its performance over a couple of weeks before you roll the changes out across the store. Small, measured changes beat big, unmeasured ones.
